At Trance Girls UK we are feeling much more optimistic about getting back on the dance floor. The last restriction-free event that we attended was back in March. It was called ‘We are you’ that takes place in Liverpool. It was a fantastic event but the attendees had it in the back of their minds that this would be the last event in a while and you could sense it in the atmosphere. After the government’s announcement, our beloved music scene is taking to social media with the date June 21st, 2022 for our new normal to begin, when we rave again. We are both feeling optimistic and excited. To us, events are a part of our personality, they aren’t just about the music that we love so very much, events are our opportunity to be free, to escape the demands of everyday life and not think of anything but allowing our bodies to move in any way they want with the music. Dancing is a form of active meditation. It is a common misconception that meditation needs to be done cross-legged, with your eyes closed in silence.Meditation can be practiced in all environments and should be, it is easy to be at peace when you set yourself up in a perfect environment. It is worth practicing mediation everywhere you go so then, when a challenge does prevent itself, you can slip into your happy place. To get in the meditative state, listen and be aware of your body, move with the music. It isn’t always as spiritual as that, events are a huge part of our social lives. We are both social butterflies, trance events are filled with fascinating people. We have made treasured friendships at events, including each other. The people we have met at events are some of the greatest people we have ever met and we are very excited to be reunited with you all.
