Unified Communications = Maximum Business Opportunities
Unified Communications is a cloud based fixed and mobile integration telephony service, which means no more fixed infrastructure which can take up lots of office space and in a lot of cases still hasnt yet been upgraded and switched over. We all know how annoying it can be when you need to speak to someone at an office and they are not there but you dont have their work mobile number. What say if that was a really important business call with a client and its now been missed? Well Unified communications removes that all together.
By Integrating both your fixed and mobile telephony on to the cloud this now means that even if someone calls your desk phone and you are not there it immediately goes to your mobile without anyone having to enter any digits, but what if you miss the call on your mobile also?? No problem. Unified communications will have your entire company mobile base on to the same cloud network also known as a hunt group meaning it will ring continuously around until the first available person answers. That way that important business call never gets missed.
Most businesses are currently using an ISDN30 fixed telephony service which requires fixed infrastrcture and PBX to control its traffic and does not offer the collaboration abilities that a unified communications solution would offer.
In addition to this BT are also due to switch off the ISDN service in a move that would effectively force companies to upgrade their telephony systems to a unified communications system.
So why are most companies still not actively looking to change over knowing it is inevitable anyway?
Cost- businesses may well have fairly recently paid large sums of money to have their PBXs installed or upgraded.
Contract- Businesses who lease their fixed telephony infrastructure may well still be in fixed term contracts for maintenance. There are ways and means that we can get them out of these contracts if explored further.
Sales teams may well have not made them aware that this change over to UC is inevitable. This the perfect sales opportunity to discuss with your clients. so have that conversation.
Comfortability- switching out large and expensive but in most cases very out dated fixed infratructure can be a daunting task for the company involve and they fear down time so offer them reassurance.
