The Importance of Bees

There are many different types of species of Bee. The most common examples are the Bumble Bee and the Honey Bee. Bees are critical really for only one thing but it happens to be one of the most important roles in the entire animal kingdom and that’s pollination.Pollination is critical for our sources to survive. Bees have adapted in a way in which their sole purpose is transferring pollen from one plant to another. According to friends of the Earth , there has been growing concern for the decline in the number of bees globally. This is mainly due to the ever-growing loss of their habitats. It’s important to remember that no bee is the same and there are various different species some of which carry a different role entirely such as the honey bee. The Honey bee is almost always kept by a beekeeper who manages their hives for honey and comb production. The other species are always .There are other species of insects that also pollinate such as wasps, beetles, moths, and more however they do not reach and enough and only so that they can feed themselves whereas all bees do is visit and plant normally to feed their young. There is also to suggest that the quality of crops is much higher with natural pollination from bees.Remember this is a vital process for our without pollination our crops will fail. Therefore without bees, it is sensible to hypothesise that pollination would have to be done by farmers by hand an almost impossible that would be extremely high in cost and may well contribute to the collapse of many farmer’s businesses.
