You must recognise and be aware of any weaknesses that you may have to strengthen yourself.Trust is a vital skill here. It is important to be able to demonstrate what it is you would like to achieve and have a good degree of continuity and consistency. Show encouragement and belief in the best people. Assist them to success and this will build strong trust in you and others.Beingeffective is also key to this. As a leader, it is important to have a sense of responsibility and respond to the call to lead. make sure you stand out above others and are able to also develop other leaders looking to follow suit.Have the ability to communicate your message to people and remind people of your vision and objective for people to trust this judgement and others to go there. If there is ever a crisis you must be able to have an effective solution to the problems and contribute generously and be consistent in how you lead.As a leader, you need to bring out the best in people. Persuading people is to get people to do what it is you want and what it is you do to convince them. You need to be happy in your approach and to make compromises as well as give consideration to get people to comply. Empathy is key from their position and it is important to focus on the issue. Explain how things are a problem for all of you should one occur and it is the responsibility of everyone to come up with a solution. What is your strategic view? how can the impacts help outside of just this problem. Be enthusiastic in your approach about what it is you want them to do. Make this desire infectious to other people.
