How to be Innovative – Day 5 – Behaviours That Compensate
- What compensating behaviours do individuals use to cut corners so to speak or cover inadequate solutions they currently use?
Take a look at these.
The Goal for the first seven days of this guide to innovation is to find a high-value innovation opportunity.
It is important to first take a look at the world around you and step into the shoes of your target customers.
- Find out how they get their jobs done. Is this a particularly messy process for them? There is an old saying ''there's no point flogging a dead horse'' and this is very true.
Be cautious of this.
- If their solution is already working for them then it is time to look elsewhere.
To aid in this process, regular round table meetings between yourself and your co-peer/colleagues would be a good idea. Discuss what it is your company forces your customers to follow.
- What is it they need and rely upon most?
