If you are responsible for innovation within your company, you should be working towards accelerating the business into the future. The best way to do this is by balancing long term strategy and gaining moment with quick wins.

• Is there a project that one part of the business is 95% through but is struggling with the final 5%. If you can help that division get over the finish line it will look good for everyone and drive momentum.
• Maybe there is project that has been on the back burner for a long time but getting it pushed through could have a very positive impact for the business.
• There could also be small, quick deals that you could make that are good for the business but also good for innovation and momentum.

Not every quick win will make the business stand out or make huge profits but by having regular quick wins you will be working more efficiently and be able to get more consistent big wins and have better processes in place to capitalize on these.
