How To Be Innovative – Day 14- Bring Everything Together
This crucial step brings about the question, How do I bring it all together in to a concrete blueprint. It is important to reflect at this stage on your work and findings so far. Take a step back How does it look? Visualise this into a comprehensive plan.
The elevator pitch: How would you sell your idea in sixty seconds or less?
The idea CV: How can you explain your idea on a single piece of paper?
The executive summary: What are five to ten PowerPoint slides (or equivalent) that describe the your idea in a nutshell, with simplicity
The detailed blueprint: What precisely do want to achieve, will it work, and why does it matter?
How do we satisfy these steps?
Develop a sixty second pitch for something that you have been working on or an idea that you have had. Present this to a person in which you feel comfortable. Ask an entrepreneur or small business that you have communication with or search online for business models and plans.
By the end of week two you should now be able to answer three critical questions with regards to your innovation.
1. What is the purpose of your innovative idea? What is unique about it? Will it have the desired impact?
2. Is it better than what the customers can afford today?
3. What is your comprehensive plan?
