8 Best Questions To Ask During An Interview
Interviews can be tricky, stressful and confusing at times. The problem is how do you differentiate yourself from all the other candidates you’re up against? Obviously showing why you are the best based on your experience and personality is the most important part of the interview, but a lot of other people will do the same. One way you can show your interest in the role is asking the right questions at the end of the interview. The time at the end of the interview is for you to find out more about the job and the company but also is an opportunity for your interviewer to see your enthusiasm for the role and the company. Some people ask very basic questions that sometimes have been answered on the job spec which, does not look good in the eyes of the interviewer. To help you we have provided some questions below that will help you stand out:
- What are the day to day responsibilities of the role?
- What do you enjoy most about your job/the company?
- Are there opportunities for training and progression within the role/company?
- Can you tell me a bit about the team I would be working in?
- What do you think the next 5 years in the company looks like?
- How can I impress you within the role in the first 3/6 months?
- What are the next steps in the process?
After asking these questions make sure that your final question is as follows:Are there any reservations you have about me and my ability to perform in this role that I can address? This in my opinion is one of the best closing questions you can ask as it lets you know any reservations they may have of you and you can then alleviate those reservations immediately by addressing them there and then.Hopefully these questions will serve you well in your next interview. Good Luck!
